Yebeen – A test shoot at the Barbican centre

“Turn, turn, my wheel! All things must change
To something new, to something strange;
Nothing that is can pause or stay;
The moon will wax, the moon will wane,
The mist and cloud will turn to rain,
The rain to mist and cloud again,
To-morrow be to-day.” Kéramos, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Thanks to the lovely model Yebeen, from Elite, and to Floor, who is with Yebeen in the last picture of this selection.

Paula

These are the last portraits I have taken at the end of the summer with the talented and sweet Paula (have a look at her beautiful Instagram @paula_agnes_art). We met in London and walked around Little Venice, which I found so similar to some areas of Oxford that I regularly explore. The weather was still nice and we enjoyed looking at the trees reflected on the water and at the boats where dreaming people live like in small dolls’ houses. It was such a lovely way to spend a morning outdoors!

Anesu

November is already here and I am still thinking about the summer, as something I have just took my eyes off a few days ago. But months have passed and I still have some photos taken then to share with you. Anesu’s photos, for instance, are among those. We had a lovely, relaxed session in London, and got the chance to explore museums – being a bit adventurous shooting inside one of them – and to chat about art and life. That’s the lovely Anesu!

End of summer

She walks in the wood, bare feet and her hands open to capture the shadows of the hours which are fading away. So, like the summer, and its memories, young and cheerful. Light seems to lift her soul; her eyes rest on a far away lake, and the day is already close to its end.

My last fashion story of the summer, in collaboration with model Morgan Black, stylist Bethany Anne Kelsey and make up artist Francesca Quagliatti.

The sky’s daughter

“They say the sky is the same everywhere. Travellers, the shipwrecked, exiles, and the dying draw comfort from the thought, and no doubt if you are of a mystical tendency, consolation, and even explanation, shower down from the unbroken surface.” Virginia Woolf, Jacob’s Room

A fashion story I have worked on in collaboration with model Natasha Samsara, stylist LadyHunterxo and hair and make up artist Laura Onea. Really in love with these photos!

Thomas Page’s portraits

Another dancer, another great artist I had the pleasure to have in front of my camera: Thomas Page. He is also a choreographer and you will be amazed by some of his work and project. I suggest you to follow him at http://www.thomaspagedances.com. In the meantime, here is an anticipation of his talent!

Dancing souls

“Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.” W. B. Yeats, The Land of Hert’s Desire

Another project about dance, grace, and beauty I have worked on with the amazing Travis Clausen Knight, James Pett, Chiara Favaretti and Steff D’Arsy, whose souls shine in every movement they make! Thank you to offer me yours talents, friendship and precious time! A special thanks also to Ryn Zhan for the beautiful make up!

Social Impact Careers Conference

When I am not taking portraits, or dreaming to travel around the world writing about its people and wonders, I am more than happy to cover events and conferences like the one I had photographed last May at the Said Business School, in Oxford. The Social Impact Careers Conference was indeed a great event that gathered together both students and professionals to talk, share, build networks, think about the future in a positive light. I have definitively learned so much, although simply hidden behind a camera.
